Nkemjika Ezinne Nwabugwu was born in Umuahia, Abia State. She attended the Federal Government Girls College, Owerri and earned a B. Tech. in Maths and Computer Science from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri. She also holds an M.B.A. from the ESUT Business School, Enugu. She is an ex banker and a rural development consultant. She worked with Access Bank Plc in Branch Operations and served as a Technical Assistant with the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Millennium Development Goals..
